Following the introduction of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) last week, iCare Solutions has launched a standalone ACFI calculator.
Residential aged care facilities can use the tool to calculate and electronically lodge ACFI assessments, regardless of whether they have the full iCare software package.
iCare’s Managing Director, Chris Gray said the product will fill a need in the market.
“Many aged care facilities have asked us for help with ACFI, but do not have the resources to purchase a full clinical care system,” he said.
Using the tool, a customer can store the ACFI appraisal, create checklists and assessment summaries and upload scanned paper documents relevant to the system.
“All appraisals can then be electronically sent direct, via eBusiness, to the Federal Government, ensuring valid submissions and no fuss verification all with evidence indexed in one place,” said Mr Gray.
The iCare ACFI Stand Alone Calculator is available as a software download or on CD ROM from May 2008 and the annual subscription costs $825 (including GST).
