Resignation at ACQ

Aged Care Queensland (ACQ) CEO, Allan Pidgeon announced this week that he was resigning to return to his family business – Queensland property developer FA Pidegon and Son.

The news follows the resignation of Aged and Community Services NSW & ACT CEO, Stephen Lowndes last week.

Mr Pidgeon was appointed to the position at ACQ in early 2006.

ACQ President, Ross Smith said the association’s activities would continue as normal.

“He [Mr Pidgeon] is certainly still working with us and it is business as usual for the organization at this point in time,” he said.

“He is very enthusiastic and will work with us right up until the transition.”

ACQ has begun the search for a replacement CEO.
