The full program for the optional Technology Symposium at this year’s National ACSA Conference is now available online.
With the theme, ‘The Future of Aged Care Starts Now’, the symposium will give participants a thorough overview of the advances and applications in assistive and information technology.
Keynote speakers at the afternoon forum will include Lloyd Walker – the Director of Research, Technology & Innovation – and Jack York – the founder and President of American company, It’s Never Too Late (IN2L).
NovitaTech runs Australia’s only accredited testing laboratory for rehabilitation equipment and Mr Walker will be presenting on the latest trends in assistive technology.
Mr York introduced IN2L’s adaptive computers for seniors to Australia at last year’s ACSA Conference.
This year, he will join with Nigel Langes and Terry Wilby from the Tailem Bend District Hospital to report on the first IN2L project in Australia.
The symposium will also divide into two concurrent streams, looking in detail at case studies about 'Supporting Assistive Technology in the Field' and 'Information Technology'.
