John Kelly has joined Guild Lawyers as a consultant, bringing significant experience in the health aged care sectors to the firm’s commercial legal team.
Mr Kelly has been a partner at top law firms for over a decade after beginning his career in clinical and senior management positions in healthcare.
He is the Chairman of the Smith Family and in the past 20 years he has been on the board of a number of commercial, not-for-profit and government boards.

Mr Kelly primarily provides advice to clients in the health and aged care sectors.
He specialises in the areas of commercial, corporate and competition law, as well as general regulatory compliance and governance advice.
Mr Kelly’s services to the community in the areas of nursing and aged care policy and healthcare management were recognised recently when he was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia in the Queens Birthday Honours List.
He also holds an Adjunct Professorial position within the Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Health at the University of Technology Sydney, along with an Adjunct Associate Professorial role in the Faculty of Nursing & Health at the University of Sydney.
