Aged and Community Services Western Australia (ACSWA) and Gadens Lawyers Perth have established a Business Associate partnership.

Both organisations believe the partnership will help them provide better assistance to the state’s not-for-profit aged care providers.

The law firm focuses on aged care and retirement village law, with a particular interest in sales and acquisitions, taxation advice, administrative law and corporate governance.

It also provides advice on a range of workplace relations matters including complaint resolution processes, contract reviews, planning issues, and tender preparations.

The Managing Partner of Gadens’ WA office, Anthony Connor said his organisation was delighted to be taking a more prominent role within the industry in Western Australia.

He said he felt that Gadens should be getting closer to its clients by supporting their industry peak body.

“The new partnership is an ideal way to achieve this,” Mr Connor said.

ACSWA CEO, Stephen Kobelke also welcomed the new relationship.

“[Gadens’] Business Associate partnership with ACSWA has provided opportunities to recognise and reward the excellent work undertaken by the biggest employee sector in Western Australia,” he said.

Both organisations also felt that the partnership would generate new training opportunities and special projects to help the aged and community care sector deal with the demands of an ageing population.
