The Regis Hillcrest facility in Fremantle has been recognised as the Regis Group’s outstanding facility of the year.

The prestigious award was presented at the group’s national staff awards gala dinner which was held in Melbourne last week.

Of the Regis Group’s 41 facilities nationwide, Hillcrest performed the best in four major performance criteria: resident care; staff coaching; overall financial performance; and compliance.

Facility manager, Janeen Karsten accepted the award on behalf of the facility,

“The team at Hillcrest was very proud of its award and whilst it is a very big surprise, [the staff] are thrilled to be recognised for their hard work in making their facility a real home for residents and a great place to work for the whole team,” she said.

“Living, with support is not just Hillcrest’s value statement, it is what we truly strive to achieve on a daily basis.

“Optimism, passion, integrity and respect are integral to everything we do and this award reinforces these actions.”

Just a fortnight earlier the facility was awarded the Aged Care Association Australia (ACAA) Excellence in Management Award in the facility team category.

Regis Hillcrest is home to 79 high and low care residents and employs 60 staff members.
