Early bird extension for global conference in Oz

The early bird registration for the International Federation on Ageing’s 10th Global Conference has been extended.

The event is being held in Melbourne from 3-6 May and it will attract hundreds of speakers and delegates from around the world.

The theme of the conference is ‘Climate for change: ageing into the future’ and presentations will focus on issues such as human rights, age friendly environments and social inclusion.

A ‘must see’ part of the conference will be the keynote session on the development of a global capacity plan, hosted by the United Nations Population Fund.

The conference will also feature a range of symposia, workshops and oral poster presentations from across the globe.

Keynote speakers include Elizabeth Broderick, the Commissioner Responsible for Age Discrimination at the Australian Human Rights Commission, and Dr John Beard, the director of the World Health Organization’s Department of Ageing and Life Course.

The early bird registration will now end on Thursday, 18 February.
