Aged care providers in Victoria and Western Australia have the chance to be recognised for their achievements through their upcoming state industry award programs.

Nominations are open for the annual Aged and Community Care Victoria (ACCV) State Awards for Excellence and the Aged and Community Services Western Australia (ACSWA) Excellence in Care Awards.

The awards have been designed to recognise outstanding performance and best practice in all areas of aged care.

Both award programs have six categories: the Organisation Award; the Employee Award; the Volunteer Award; the Trainee Award; the Media Award; and the Industry Supporter Award.

Nominations for the ACCV awards close on Friday, 23 April and the awards will be presented at the association’s state congress dinner on 17 June.

Nominations for the ACSWA awards close on Wednesday, 21 April awards will be presented at a gala dinner on 11 June.

The winners from both states will automatically be nominated for the Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA) National Awards which will be presented at the association’s annual conference in Tasmania this September.
