McCullough Robertson Lawyers will be holding its ninth annual Workplace Relations and Safety Conference at Mantra Mooloolaba on 9 and 10 October 2008. The conference enjoys an excellent reputation and attracts delegates from some of Australia’s blue chip companies each year.
The theme this year is 'Transitioning to Forward with Fairness - Management Essentials'. While the Government has promised significant change to the Workplace Relations landscape, the reality will fall far short of Kim Beazley’s theatrical ‘tearing up’ of Work Choices.
The Workplace Relations and Safety Group (WRSG) will be presenting on a number of topics including an overview of the legislation, collective bargaining, unfair dismissal, managing ill and injured employees, industrial action and workplace flexibility. McCullough Robertson has also invited guest speakers from industry, academia and the entertainment industry to speak on topical issues.
This conference will be relevant to all human resources managers and general managers who deal with human resources issues in their day to day operations.
McCullough Robertson’s Workplace Relations and Safety Group is one of the strongest in Queensland and has a genuine national focus. Our group advises clients across Australia on the full spectrum of employment, industrial relations and workplace health and safety. We play a dominant role in advising major private and public sector organisations in a number of industries including aged care, aviation, finance, government, health, manufacturing, agribusiness, resources, technology and transport.
