PAC appoints Wood as CEO

Presbyterian Aged Care has appointed Olivia Wood as CEO.

New South Wales and ACT aged care provider Presbyterian Aged Care has appointed the organisation’s former director of care and quality Olivia Wood as chief executive officer.

Ms Wood, who was appointed interim CEO in March following the departure of Paul Sadler, joined Presbyterian Aged Care in 2016 as a facility manager in Walcha in the south-eastern edge of the Northern Tablelands in NSW.

In 2018, Ms Wood was promoted to director of care and quality, where she oversaw all residential aged care facilities, before becoming executive director of consumer care and quality, which added home care services to her responsibilities in 2020.

Prior to joining PAC, Ms Wood’s roles included CEO of Western Sydney Medicare Local, executive manager of Uralla Shire Council’s community and aged care services department and operations director at Saigon Sports Academy in Vietnam.

The Presbyterian Church in New South Wales Property Trust chairman of trustees Margaret Mackenzie said Ms Wood brought highly relevant aged care experience and skills to the role.

“Olivia is an advocate for improving the care and quality of life for all of our consumers and recognising the essential role that each and every PAC team member plays in this care.

“She works with great energy for and possesses a demonstrated commitment to the Mission and Values of PAC,” Ms Mackenzie said.

Ms Wood commenced as CEO on 27 August.
