Holy Spirit Care services has appointed a new General Manager for the Cairns region.

Queensland provider Holy Spirit Care Services has appointed Vicky Johnston (pictured) to be its General Manager in the Cairns region.

In the new position, Ms Johnston will be responsible for three facilities: Holy Spirit Bethlehem, Holy Spirit Mary Potter and Coral Sea Gardens Retirement Village.

Ms Johnston previously worked as a Finance Manager for the Holy Spirit Care Services and has experience as a financial controller and in professional accounting firms.

The role of General Manager is new for the Cairns region and will play an important part in the organisation’s growth plans.

“The General Manager for the Cairns Region is a critical role in our organisation, particularly in view of the strategic opportunities we have available to us to expand our services in the region,” said Holy Spirit Care Services’ CEO, Shane Fracchia.

“We are delighted that Vicky has taken up this challenging position. She has a wide range of professional skills and a strong commitment to our values, which is essential when you are responsible for the quality care of older people.”
 
Ms Johnston said she is looking forward to meeting the challenges she will face in the new role.

“I really enjoy being part of Holy Spirit Care Services.  I believe strongly in their mission and values,” she said.

“It is nice to be welcomed into the home of our residents and to be part of their community. 

“I am looking forward to enhancing the community of Holy Spirit Care Services in Cairns.”
