Setting the community care research agenda

A last minute change to the ACSA National Community Care Conference will see the inclusion of a research workshop on Day Two (Thursday, 15 May).

The workshop is the first event in an ongoing initiative between ACSA and the ARC/NHMRC Research Network in Ageing Well to develop a community care research agenda.

The joint program aims to build deeper, long-term relationships between researchers and community care providers.

The research workshop will:

– Bring together leading community care practitioners and researchers;
– Launch the findings of recent community care research undertaken by Baptcare on the Predictors Influencing the Change in Health (PITCH) of community care clients;
– Discuss the importance of research and identify the available tools to support it;
– Highlight preliminary thinking about research priorities; and
– Give participants the opportunity to influence the research agenda.

This workshop replaces the proposed session on disability policy advertised in the registration brochure.
