New CEO for Queensland association

ACQ has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer, following the resignation of Allan Pidgeon earlier this year.

Aged Care Queensland (ACQ) has announced the appointment of its new CEO, Anton Kardash.

Mr Kardash joins ACQ with over 20 years’ experience in administration, management and leadership positions across the community and private sectors.

He worked for many years with UnitingCare Queensland agencies, including a period as CEO of Lifeline Community Care.

In previous roles, Mr Kardash led the development of new strategic directions for companies in the health, employment and community services sectors.

He has also been involved in establishing organisational systems and processes and developing governance models.

“We are really pleased to have him on board,” said ACQ President, Ross Smith. “We are looking to Anton to help us with our strategic plan to be the leading providers in the areas of residential care, community care and retirement living.”

“We feel that we have been quite successful in the past and we are looking forward to continuing on with that in what is a fairly difficult environment.”

Mr Kardash began in his new role at the beginning of the week.

He replaces Allan Pidgeon who resigned in May to return to his family business.
