Family-owned group KinCare has officially brought Stanhope Healthcare Services into its fold following an 18-month integration process.

KinCare, which was established in 1992, is now calling itself the largest family owned in-home care and nursing services group in Australia.

The group comprises KinCare Community Services, KinCare Health Services, Stanhope Healthcare Services, Private Care, National College Australia, and TeleResponse Australia.

KinCare Group chief operating officer Therese Adami said this is the final step in the brand name alignment.

“All staff and services will remain as they are but the KinCare brand and logo will now be displayed on staff uniforms, ID badges, office signage and communications,” Ms Adami said.

“This final change achieves a strong national position as a well-recognised brand that Australians will choose for their home care services as the market moves towards a consumer directed care model (CDC), which ultimately will deliver consumer choice of providers.

“In-home care and nursing services are the preferred option for older Australians who wish to remain in their own familiar surroundings but still access professional and caring services to support their lifestyle and maintain their independence, health goals and quality of life.

“In-home health services are another emerging area accessible to Australians of all ages, as they provide an alternative to hospitalisation along with prevention, treatment and rehabilitation options for acute and chronic disease management”, she said.

“As Australia nears the launch of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and the increase of self-managed models, KinCare’s disability support services are proving their effectiveness as true person-centred programs that support younger people with disabilities to pursue and achieve their goals, on their terms, and in their community.

“We are at the start of a new wave of reform in home care as we head towards a more consumer driven industry, which will focus on maintaining or improving the quality of life for so many ageing Australians.

“Our approach to what we do can be summed up by our culture, which is defined by:  ‘The kind of care you would expect for your loved ones’.

“It really is a great service, being able to give people the opportunity for support, so they can live the life they love….at home,” she said.
