Aligning staff and organisational culture across numerous sites are among the challenges providers can face when acquiring new residential aged care facilities, according to David Armstrong from Allity.
Mr Armstrong shared the lessons his organisation has learned through their recent acquisitions at Leading Age Services Australia National Congress last week.
As Australian Ageing Agenda has reported, Allity purchased 10 aged care services from ECH in South Australia in May 2014.
Speaking to the NEWSROOM at the conference, Mr Armstrong said that staffing and a consistent culture were the key challenges his organisation faced.
However he said that if organisations had a clear vision, communicated it clearly to staff, and were consistent they had a “good chance of a good outcome.”
