Wishing AAA readers a merry Christmas

It’s been our pleasure to report on another busy year, and we look forward to bringing you the best coverage of the people, programs and policies in aged care throughout 2016.

Christmas time once again

Dear readers,

What a year it’s been.

We’ve had it all – a change of ministers (three in fact), a departmental move, a federal budget heralding the future of community aged care from 2017, and, as we report today, a budget update that contains some controversial measures.

It’s been our pleasure to report on this tumultuous year in aged care. Given the significance of the unfolding reforms, and the sheer pace of change, we work hard to provide objective and informed coverage and analysis.

Internally, it’s been a big year for us too. In January, we launched Community Care Review, our new dedicated publication to focus on community care, and in October we hosted the successful Active Ageing Conference 2015 to explore wellness, reablement and restorative care.

We look forward to working just as hard in 2016 to bring you the best coverage of the people, the programs and the policies that make up aged care in Australia.

We wish you all a restful Christmas and prosperous New Year.

Darragh O’Keeffe, Linda Belardi, Natasha Egan, Jackie Keast, Carmella Rowsthorne and Kerry van Rhoon.
