Apply now for up to $300 000

Australian researchers and institutions only have until 5pm Monday July 31 to apply for up to $300,000 worth of grant funding through the third round of IRT Research Foundation grants.

Applications are now open for the IRT Research Foundation’s third round of research grants, valued at $300,000 each, for research projects which aim to improve the lives of older people.

Australian researchers and institutions with expertise on topics affecting older people in Australia are encouraged to apply.

Two types of grants are up for offer- either a small one-year grant worth up to $50,000 or a larger grant for projects up to three years duration which total up to $300,000.

But hopeful applicants only have until 5pm on Monday 30 July to apply as late applications will not be accepted.

“The IRT Research Foundation funds research initiatives that seek to improve the mind, mobility and lifestyles of senior Australians, and we are proud to announce another round of research grants,” said acting CEO, Craig Hamer said.

“We look forward to receiving Expressions of Interest for research projects that are conducted in conjunction with a recognised research institution, that are up to three years in duration, and that aim to benefit the ageing and those who care for them.”

The larger grant will be considered for significant research projects that will make a considerable impact on the lives of older people.

The organisation said in a statement that projects which offer the opportunity to translate research findings into clinical/aged care practice and/or health policy will be especially welcome.

IRT Research Foundation is a division of the IRT Group.
