Evidence-based funding chance

The Department of Health and Ageing’s ‘Encouraging Best Practice in Residential Aged Care Funding Round’ is now open.

The Department of Health and Ageing is seeking applications from health-related organisations interested in improving evidence-based clinical care in residential aged care homes.

Interested organisations must establish a consortium made up of aged care facilities, researchers and educators to develop and implement evidence-based practices.

The applications must address one of the following key target areas:

– Wound management;
– Behaviour management;
– Incontinence management;
– Infection control; and
– Palliative care.

The funding will be delivered through the department’s ‘Encouraging Best Practice in Residential Aged Care’ program and it is expected that it will be provided for up to two years.

Applications must be received by the Department of Health and Ageing in Canberra by 3pm EAST on 30 July. Applications may be submitted by post or courier.
