Regis partners with specalised meals service
New food partnership promises to nourish mind, body and soul of Regis Aged Care residents requiring a texture-modified diet.

Regis Aged Care – one of Australia’s largest residential aged care operators – has partnered with the New Zealand company Pure Food Co to deliver more than 4,500 choices of texture-modified meals to residents across 67 facilities living with dysphagia.
To embed the specialised system, Pure Food Co has provided more than 300,000 training hours to Regis Aged Care staff.

“Partnering with The Pure Food Co for this subset of meal types underscores our unwavering commitment to continuously enhance the dining experience and providing the best options for our residents,” said Regis managing director and chief executive officer Linda Mellors.
“This provides Regis an exciting opportunity to create new products, offering more choice and nutritious options for residents.”
Pure Food Co founder and co-chief executive officer Sam Bridgewater said he was thrilled the New Zealand born company is breaking into the Australian market.

“A partnership of this scale, with such a highly respected national operator, is a huge stride forward for our fast-growing Australian business,” Mr Bridgewater said.
The company was inspired from Mr Bridgewater seeing his stepfather unable to find meals when recovering from illness – hindering his recovery – and he is looking forward to providing Regis residents with a memorable dining experience no matter where they are on their ageing journey.
Through their work with aged care providers and hospitals, Mr Bridgewater said they had been able to achieve reductions in weight loss, falls and wound care among meal recipients who were healthier and healing at a faster rate.
All meals adhere to the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative and follow the new aged care quality standards.
