Odyssey offers onsite GP

The Queensland provider also has an in-house pharmacist.

Odyssey Lifestyle Care Communities in Queensland has established an onsite health service so that residents can receive medical care without the need to travel.

Located in the Ipanema block of Odyssey’s Robina community on the Gold Coast, a designated space will house two rostered GPs and a resident pharmacist.

“By providing access to primary healthcare within our community, we ensure that our residents receive timely and personalised care without the stress of external appointments,” Odyssey CEO and founder Phil Usher said.

The onsite health service will be particularly handy for residents who struggle with travel or who no longer drive.

In addition to the GP service, Odyssey also offers its residents onsite physiotherapy and occupational therapy.

“Our residents have access to a roster of allied health professionals, including six physiotherapists and one occupational therapist for consultations,” Mr Usher said.

He added: “These services are conveniently available to residents as they seek tailored, professional medication, treatment and guidance – all from the comfort of their own home.”
