Sustainable health seminar
Reduced running costs and better resident outcomes are on the agenda at a Sydney seminar on sustainable healthcare.
The Australian Association of Sustainable Healthcare is holding a seminar in Sydney to discuss the effects that energy and carbon will have on the healthcare business over the next two decades.
A sustainable outlook will provide a vast range of benefits across the healthcare industry, from reduced running costs to improved occupant outcomes in hospitals, according to AASH president John Brodie.
“What better industry to make healthier than the healthcare industry?” Mr Brodie asked.
“We are a registered and incorporated not-for-profit association and are looking to find other interested parties who would like to join and assist us in understanding and promoting a new approach to the way we implement healthcare.”
“This seminar will help prospective members understand some initial sustainability issues and find out more about AASH,” he added.
Speakers will provide understanding and insight into the rapidly changing carbon world.
The topics covered will included legal issues, energy pricing and costs, energy efficiency and carbon footprint assessment.
The seminar will be held on Tuesday, 17 March, from 1.30pm at the Acacia Centre (Columbia Aged Care Services), 442-448 Marrickville Road, Marrickville.
The cost for the seminar is $30. To register your interest or find out more information, Jennifer O’Connell on 0427 524 606 or RSVP to info@AASH.com.au.
