‘We really need to talk about death more’

Better dying is an important concept, Hartmann head of clinical and governance Kate Weger has told around 250 people at the recent Positive Ageing Summit.

Following her presentation on day 1 of the allied health-driven event at the Adelaide Hilton Ms Weger told Australian Ageing Agenda that being comfortable talking about death and dying, understanding what older people want and consistent terminology are critical.  

“So we’re setting people up for success, discussing it with their families, but also supporting our workforce with these terminologies,” she told AAA
