Australia’s population is ageing and advance care planning is becoming a greater priority. Presented by Advance Care Planning Australia and ACT Health, this practical workshop will be run by experienced advance care planning facilitators.
The workshop will cover:
• the benefits of advance care planning
• medical decision-making
• the role of the substitute decision-maker
• legal implications
• hands-on training in leading advance care planning conversations.
The event is recommended for health professionals including doctors, nurses, social workers, allied health staff and care workers. The training is relevant to those working in acute health services, aged care, primary care, and palliative care.
Venue: ACT Health Directorate, 2 Bowes Street, Woden ACT 2606 (Level 2 Conference Room 1). Please note reception is at 4 Bowes Street, but direct access to conference room is from lift at 2 Bowes St.

Cost: Early bird tickets $40 (inclusive of GST), ends Friday 20 March 2020. Regular ticket $60 (inclusive of GST). Places are limited, early registration recommended.
