BETTER FOR LIFE: Bringing health and wellness to older people through a multidisciplinary approach using funded options

November 4, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

HUR Australia Webinar on November 4th discusses Multidisciplinary Approach and Funding Options for health and wellness for older people

Exercise is key to happy and healthy ageing, with proven benefits in both physical and mental wellbeing, leading to a better quality of life. A successful “Active Ageing” model includes many factors, from a detailed concept and staffing to gym design and multidisciplinary allied health presence.

Planning of allied health service delivery may be slowed down due to access to funding. Despite many Federal and State government funded programs, opportunities for cost savings are often missed.

One of the great success stories of health and wellness delivery to both community and residential care is Southern Cross Care (SA, NT & VIC) Inc. who during the financial year 2020-2021 SCC delivered 108,000 hours of health and wellness services to 3,000 clients (The Source, September 2021).

We are lucky to have two speakers from the SCC team join us to discuss the keys to successful wellness programs in our next free webinar – “BETTER FOR LIFE: Bringing health and wellness to older people through a multidisciplinary approach using funded options”. Physiotherapist Nick Petch will talk about the importance of a multidisciplinary approach and Dr Tim Henwood, Group Manager for Community Wellness & Lifestyle, will discuss the range of funding options.
