Join us on Monday 21 August at Brisbane City Hall where the Minister for Seniors, the Honourable Coralee O’Rourke, will officially launch Queensland Seniors Week at our annual forum, themed ‘Creating Age-friendly Communities’.

The forum will bring together representatives from all levels of government, business and the community sector with a vested interest in creating communities that support and enable older people in live in safety, enjoy good health, and continue to fully participate in society

Keynote speaker John Byrne is a change agent and specialist adviser in urban design, planning, policy and housing. John is a strong advocate for social sustainability and creating communities that provide opportunities for people of all ages to grow and prosper.

Dr Kathleen Brasher, a foundation member of the Strategic Advisory Group for the WHO Global Age-friendly Cities and Communities Network, will also share her knowledge and thoughts on creating liveable communities for people of any age.
