Listening is critical in every aspect of our life and work, and is central to spiritual care.

Listening well prevents conflict, builds work teams and is essential for understanding each older person.

In this experiential workshop learn how to:

– Listen to people’s stories so that they feel heard and valued

– Listen using your body and heart

– Listen without words

– Listen without interruption

Participants of our successful workshop in 2018 said:

“Made this very real and tangible instead of just theory”

“The reflective exercises gave an opportunity to stop and listen”

“All was relevant, not only to work situations, but life in general”

Facilitators: Jen Barrkman and Kris Plowman from Red Thread Stories

Jen and Kris have over 30 years combined experience facilitating workshops that equip others to listen well. They draw on their background in improvised theatre, music, counselling, oral history and community work to create a rich and safe learning experience for all. They work in circles not rows.
