Accounting firm offers free balance sheet health check
For the first time the survey will analyse balance sheet data as well as looking at major trends and operational benchmarks.
Aged care providers will be able to obtain a health check of their balance sheets by participating in Bentley’s free 2009 national aged care financial survey.
The new feature will be based on the work Bentleys undertook in 2006 to review the CAP ratio analysis for the Department of Health and Ageing.
Bentleys’ survey director Heath Shonhan said the survey will allow providers to pinpoint areas for improving their business operations.
“This survey is unique because it focuses on the balance sheet,” he said.
“It will provide information that will help providers to advocate for structural change and data that will help funders to understand aged care better.”
The first phase of the survey will compare and analyse major trends from Bentley’s 2007-08 and the 2008-09 general purpose financial reports.
The second phase of the survey will draw together information on a range of operational, staffing and financial areas.
The 2009 Bentley’s survey will also look at environmentally sustainable practices throughout the industry to identify areas of best practice.
Registration for the survey is now open. Data for the first phase of the survey must be submitted by Friday, 27 November and the deadline for the second phase is Friday, 11 December.
