Domain Principal announces new CEO

Bill Summer’s replacement comes to the group with a wealth of corporate experience and an indepth understanding of the organisation’s operations.

Domain Principal Aged Care Group has announced the appointment of a new CEO following the retirement of Bill Summers in July.

Dr Gregory Roder joins the group from AMP Capital Investors, Domain Principal’s parent company.

As Head of Infrastructure at AMP Capital, Dr Gregory has already had responsibilities for asset management within the Domain Principal Group.

Dr Roder is also a director of Domain Principal and he will continue to be a member on the group’s board.

Before joining AMP, he held executive positions with a number of large corporations, including Esso Australia, Macquarie Bank and Standard Bank of South Africa.

Domain Principal’s chairman, Mr Jack Ritch, said that Board was delighted to appoint Dr Roder who is known for his integrity, strong commercial acumen and understanding of the need for superior returns for investors.

“Greg is a high calibre leader who has an excellent understanding of Domain Principal and experience in a range of executive and operational management positions,” said Mr Ritch.

“Importantly he shares our vision and commitment to providing outstanding care for Australia’s elderly.”

Dr Roder will commence in his role on Monday, 12 October 2009.

Mr Summers will remain on the board of Domain Principal as a non-executive director.
