HR guru joins Masonic

An experienced human resources manager has joined the Adelaide based provider to oversee its organisational development.

South Australian provider Masonic Homes has appointed an experienced human resources manager to oversee its organisational development.

The group says Michael Rasheed’s appointment is further evidence of its plans to become one of the country’s top 20 providers of living options for senior Australians by 2015.

“During the recent financial crisis, we have not slowed down our development, nor adopted a ‘wait and see’ approach,” said Masonic Homes’ CEO, Doug Strain.

“Indeed, we have seized upon opportunities to become better prepared for the growing tide of senior Australians seeking to maintain their independence and lifestyle, regardless of the impact of their advancing years”.

Mr Rasheed has built up significant experience in human resources, having worked for leading companies such as Santos and Adelaide Bank.

He said he looks forward to his new role where he hops to ensure that the provider has the best people to develop its goals.

“Masonic Homes has identified the need for ‘a highly skilled workforce’ as one of the key strategies to achieve its long-term development goals,” Mr Rasheed said.

“The company has invested a lot of time, energy and money in putting the right people and processes in place to attract, develop and retain such a workforce.”
