In-home aged care provider KinCare has appointed Bernadette Gotch as its new chief executive officer.
With more than 20 years of operations, business development and clinical experience in the health care sector, Ms Gotch has held a number of senior executive management roles – including most recently KinCare’s chief operating officer for three years.
Previously, Ms Gotch held a director role at NSW Rural Doctors Network and general manager positions at NRMA and International SOS – a global medical and security assistance business.
Beginning her career as a registered nurse, Ms Gotch intends to leverage the frontline experience to inform her leadership approach as KinCare continues to navigate important industry shifts.
“I am excited to step into my new role as CEO of KinCare and to take over the leadership of the business at a critical time for the industry and for our company,” said Ms Gotch. “Kincare successfully navigated a testing few years during the pandemic, and we now have our sights set on supporting our team and continuing to deliver clinical excellence across our in-home care services.”
Ms Gotch replaces Hugh Thomson, who becomes KinCare’s executive chairman. Mr Thomson took on the role in September last year after Jason Howie left the organisation after 22 years as CEO.
