New board director for Brightwater
WA aged care provider Brightwater has appointed Kellie Benda as a non-executive director of the Brightwater Care Group Board.
Western Australian aged care provider Brightwater has appointed Kellie Benda as a non-executive director of the Brightwater Care Group Board.
Commencing her role on 4 January, Ms Benda brings strong skills in digital transformation, strategic growth, property investment and aged care to the not-for-profit provider.
Ms Benda has extensive experience as an investment banker and senior executive in ASX-listed companies. Since 2003, she has also served as a non-executive director on the boards of mining and other listed companies as well as Government Trading Enterprises, state and federal government boards and a range of not-for-profit organisations.
Joanne Farrell chair of Brightwater Care Group – which is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of Brightwater – welcomed Ms Benda’s appointment.

Ms Benda holds a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Arts (industrial relations), Master of Applied Finance and is a graduate of Harvard University. She is a graduate of, and has been awarded a fellowship by, the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Among Ms Benda’s achievements, she is named in the federal government’s Australia’s Top 100 Emerging Leaders list, considered one of the Australian Institute of Management’s 25 most Influential Emerging Business Women in Australia and the recipient of the Corporate Leader Telstra Business Women’s Award.
