New CEO at Benetas
The Victorian not-for-profit has selected a well-known aged care leader to take the helm.
Sandra Hills will be leaving the Brotherhood of St Laurence (BSL) after almost eight years to take up the position of CEO at Benetas.
Ms Hills currently works as the Manager of Aged and Community Care at BSL and will begin in the new role in February.
The Chairman of the Benetas Board John McKenzie, said Ms Hills was the stand-out candidate from a strong field of 45 applicants.
“With an extensive background in aged care and community services in the not-for-profit and community sector, Ms Hills is well placed to take on the challenge of leading our organisation,” Mr McKenzie said.
“[She] has strong links within the aged care sector and government that will benefit Benetas.”
Ms Hills is a director on the board of Aged and Community Care Victoria and a member of the Department of Health and Ageing’s Aged Care Consultative Committee,
She has previously held senior positions within the Victorian Department of Human Services.
During her time at BSL she has been responsible for financial and business management, workforce coordination, change management and policy development.
Ms Hills said she was delighted at the opportunity to lead the organisation.
