New ED for the RCNA
A new executive director has been appointed to the RCNA to replace Rosemary Bryant.
A new executive director has been appointed to the Royal College of Nursing, Australia (RCNA).
Debra Cerasa comes to the RCNA from Latrobe Regional Hospital where she has been the director of clinical services since 2001
Ms Cerasa has been a nurse for over 30 years and in that time has developed an interest in clinical and financial leadership, financial management, education and leadership.
“We’re delighted to welcome Debra to the role of Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer as she brings very valuable experience and leadership skills to RCNA,” said RCNA President, Dr Stephanie Fox-Young.
“As an RCNA Member, Debra has been involved with the work of the College and we look forward to building on her knowledge and experience to benefit RCNA, and through that, the health care consumers of Australia.”
Ms Cerasa replaces the respected Rosemary Bryant, who was appointed Chief Nurse and Midwifery Officer, earlier this year.
It is understood that Ms Cerasa will begin in her new role in December.
