RDNS has announced that the CEO of its New Zealand arm has been appointed as interim head of the parent company, RDNS Limited.

Todd Perkinson has also been promoted to general manager – group business process and performance for RDNS Limited.

Mr Perkinson joined RDNS New Zealand as CEO 18 months ago. In his new role he will be Melbourne-based.

Former RDNS New Zealand board director Gavin Aleksich has been appointed CEO of RDNS New Zealand and will take up the position when he returns from leave in mid-July, the company said.

The appointments follow the departure of group CEO Steve Muggleton who will join RSL Care Queensland as CEO later this month.

Chair of RDNS New Zealand and director of RDNS Limited Anne Blackburn said the appointments “demonstrated the strides made by the local subsidiary since its inception in 2009, the depth of talent within the operation and the close working relationships within the RDNS group.”

Since early 2014 Mr Perkinson had ably led the New Zealand business, which provides a range of home-based support and nursing services to communities in Auckland, Otago and Southland, Ms Blackburn said.

Similarly, she said that Mr Aleksich brought a clinical background, strong leadership experience and proven strategic abilities to the management role.

Mr Perkinson said he owed much of the success of the company to the substantial support of the New Zealand board and former group CEO Mr Muggleton.

“I am extremely proud to have played a significant part, alongside a very talented team, to position RDNS NZ as a significant contributor to first class healthcare in New Zealand,” Mr Perkinson said.

“I have every confidence in the leadership team to continue to drive quality and performance and under the stewardship of Gavin Aleksich while continuing to grow our national footprint.”
