New regional director

UnitingCare Ageing NSW.ACT has appointed a new regional director for its south eastern region.

The previous director of corporate services for the region, Joe Gaudiosi, has stepped up to take on the role.

Mr Gaudiosi has been with UnitingCare Ageing since July last year and before that he worked as chief financial officer for the Illawarra Retirement Trust (IRT).

The position with IRT enabled Mr Gaudiosi to gain a solid understanding of the business and care requirements in running a retirement living and aged care operations.

In the new role he will lead the monthly and end-of-year financial reporting for the region and be responsible for ensuring internal and external compliance.

The director of UnitingCare Ageing, Gillian McFee, said she was pleased with Mr Gaudiosi’s appointment.

“Joe is well placed to participate with the executive team at UnitingCare Ageing as we work together towards making positive changes in the care and support of older people,” she said.

“The combination of his business acumen and thorough understanding of the aged care sector will be an asset to our organisation.”

The organisation’s south eastern region operates a number of aged care facilities across southern and southwest Sydney, the Illawarra, the south coast, and the ACT.
