Sue Vardon appointed ECH chair
South Australian provider ECH has appointed Sue Vardon as the new chair of its board.
The appointment completes a new-look ECH board which the organisation said has the highest level of corporate governance and specialised skills.
Ms Vardon has previously held executive positions in New South Wales and South Australia, including CEO of the Office of Public Sector Reform.
She was also the CEO of the government agency responsible for the establishment of Centrelink, and in 1995 she was named the Telstra Business Woman of the Year for SA and Australia in both the public sector and general categories.
ACH Group has appointed Ray Creen as CEO
ACH Group has appointed Ray Creen as its new chief executive officer.
Mr Creen was head of SA Ambulance Service from 2008 to 2013, during which time a unique ‘out-of-hospital’ model was developed where patients were treated in their homes if possible.
He has also previously been CEO of NSW Ambulance.
ACH said Mr Creen was well known for his ability to develop excellent working relationships and is regularly called upon to offer advice and consultancy on leadership, performance improvement and cultural change.
Mr Creen will commence with ACH Group on 5 December.
LASA appoints NSW manager
Brendan Moore has been appointed to the role of Leading Age Services NSW state manager.
Mr Moore, who was most recently general manager of policy and research at Alzheimer’s Australia NSW, has extensive experience in policy, communications, business development and program management.
Mr Moore has also previously held senior research and policy roles with Baptist Community Services and in the NSW Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care.
