BallyCara appoints ‘catalyst in residence’

Aged care provider BallyCara has appointed Tim Mahlberg as “catalyst in residence” to focus on investing and preparing for new concepts and innovations.

The organisation said Mr Mahlberg had been working for more than a decade as an organisational psychologist, across a range of corporate and non-profit organisations.

Most recently he was the founder of The Village at NAB, drawing on community innovation and helping to create places that inspired new ways of working and living.

In this new role, Mr Mahlberg will be working across BallyCara’s team to help foster new perspectives and build new initiatives, the provider said.

Senior appointments at ThomsonAdsett

ThomsonAdsett has announced the appointment of Ann-Maree Ruffles as group director of seniors living and Judy Martin as seniors living business development and International SAGE Program manager.

Ms Ruffles is an architect with 30 years’ experience who has designed luxury homes, multi-residential apartments and housing for disability.

Ms Martin has worked with various aged care providers and peak industry bodies in senior leadership roles.

For over 10 years, she worked with SAGE to visit over 300 aged care organisations around the world.

Wavelink appoints head for health practice

Paul Craven has been appointed to head Wavelink’s new health practice, focussing on hospitals and aged care facilities across Australia and New Zealand.

Wavelink, a distributor of enterprise mobility and unified communications solutions, said its health practice would provide solutions in areas including location-based services and workflow management that would improve care and drive operational efficiency.

Mr Craven has previously held sales director roles at Cumulus Technologies and Stanley Healthcare.
