Cranbrook Care opens new Sydney site

Aged care provider Cranbrook Care has opened a new facility in Sydney.

Aged care provider Cranbrook Care has opened a new luxury facility in the heart of Sydney.

With views of the Sydney Habour Bridge, Lansdowne Gardens on Wycombe – in Neutral Bay on the lower north shore of the city – combines an architecturally designed building with a restored heritage property.

Interest in the new site – which includes a café, library, wellness centre, gymnasium, massage parlour, and hair and beauty salon – is high, said Cranbrook Care chief executive officer Lee Carissa.

“Lansdowne Gardens on Wycombe will cater to significant rising demand from residents keen to stay in the area where they’ve lived independently without giving up the elevated standard of living they’re accustomed to. Our vision is to deliver a lifestyle which is comparable with leading hotels overlaid with a family-focused philosophy that prioritises mental and social wellbeing alongside clinical care.”

Registered nurses will be onsite around-the-clock to provide a full spectrum of aged care services including dementia care and palliative care. Residents will also be offered allied health care services such as physiotherapy sessions.

As well, a lifestyle and leisure team will provide enrichment activities including excursions to classical concerts and art exhibitions. Intergenerational programs – such as a preschool pen pal initiative – will also be offered to connect residents with the local community.

Featuring spacious, light-filled interiors with customed-designed fixtures and furnishings, Lansdowne Gardens on Wycombe – an extension of Cranbrook Care’s Lansdowne Gardens site – includes private suites with ensuite bathrooms and kitchenettes, and shared suites for couples.

The site also features communal lounge and dining areas, as well as private dining areas for visiting families and friends. Residents will be offered restaurant-quality a la carte meals prepared onsite by an executive chef.

“The decision for a family member or loved one to move into aged care is always a difficult one, and we strive to make that transition a little easier by creating a welcoming, attractive environment with highly qualified staff who genuinely care,” said Ms Carissa. “Lansdowne Gardens is already an integrated part of the lower north shore, and we are excited to invite seniors seeking innovative aged care and their families to book a tour to experience our unique offering firsthand.”
