Customer centre puts Silver Chain in winning company

Western Australian charitable organisation Silver Chain has officially opened its high-tech Customer Operations Centre at its headquarters in Perth’s Osborne Park. Since 2005 over 120 members of staff have undertaken assessments, referrals and kept records at the centrally located facility that services metropolitan and remote clients. It is used to coordinate over 80 health service programs and handles in excess of 1.5 million customer activities each year.

In July, the centre was awarded Centre was awarded Western Australia’s Teleservices Centre of the Year (in the category for centres with up to 120 full time equivalent employees) through the Australian Teleservices Association Awards.

The new centre is open-planned with 20 per cent of its floor space dedicated to staff break out areas, meeting rooms, training areas and a kitchen. Situated on the upper level of Silver Chain House, the centre has been designed to provide plenty of natural light and features fresh citrus colours.
