Aged care service provider Benetas has announced its pending acquisition of Bridgewater Lake Retirement Estate in Roxburgh Park in north Melbourne.

Presently owned by Parks Villages, the estate will formally become a part of Benetas’s retirement living portfolio from 1 April this year.

The Bridgewater estate is home to more than 200 residents.

“It is really important in the first instance that we work to a smooth transition for all involved,” said Benetas CEO Sandra Hills in a statement. “Once this occurs, we will be looking at upgrades to the bowling green and completing the new homes that are under construction.”

Benetas also owns Dalkieth Heights in Traralgon. With the launch of the new St John’s Rise Retirement Village in Mooroolbark expected mid-year, Benetas will have three retirement living sites in Victoria to its name. A development in Gisbourne is also planned in a few years’ time.

The priority for Benetas moving forward, said Ms Hills, is to continue to build communities of choice and to create great places to work and volunteer. As well as retirement living, Benetas provides residential aged care, home care and respite services.
