The sale of Vacenti Aged Care’s seven Queensland-based residential care facilities to Estia Health has now been completed, law firm Gadens has confirmed.

The two for-profit organisations announced the acquisition in September and the sale includes six operating homes across Brisbane and a newly developed home in Cleveland, amounting to approximately 750 additional residential aged care places for Estia Health.

After 50 years under the direction of the Casagrande family, Estia Health will assume operation of the homes this month and has offered employment to all home-based employees.

The acquisition follows Estia Health’s purchase of seven homes from Aurrum Aged Care in January and two Mark Moran Group homes in June – with its portfolio now including 94 homes.

Estia Health chief executive officer Sean Bilton said they are “delighted” to be able to increase their commitment of care and services for older people and to have a bigger presence in Brisbane and the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast regions.

“We are pleased for the opportunity to continue the legacy created by the Casagrande family. We want to assure all residents and their families that they will continue to receive the same dedicated care from the same people that they always have,” Mr Bilton said.

“As a provider of 94 residential aged care homes across Australia, we are proud to offer individualised person-centred care and support to our residents and their families at an incredibly important time in their lives.”

Vacenti CEO Julian Casagrande said they are proud of the family legacy of providing dedicated care in the Brisbane community for the last five decades and noted the partnership with Gadens allowed for a seamless and well-structured transition.

“As Estia Health assumes operations, we are confident that residents, families, and staff will continue to benefit from exceptional care and service,” he continued.
