I’ll meet you, buy The Pines
The Pines Aged Care Resort beside Brisbane’s Moreton Bay has been bought by another provider.
The Regis Group announced last week that it has acquired The Pines Aged Care Resort, previously owned by Marsden Management Services.
The acquisition of the 40-bed aged care home, located in the seaside Brisbane suburb of Wynnum, is scheduled to be completed in late May subject to approval by the Department of Health and Ageing.
The Regis Group has operated in Queensland for over 18 years and has 10 facilities across the state, as well as two more currently under construction.
CEO Ross Johnston expressed excitement felt within the company about adding the resort to their stable of facilities around the country.
“We are very proud of our achievements and reputation in Queensland and the addition of The Pines Aged Care Resort will complement our high standards of care,” Mr Johnston said.
“The Regis Group and Marsden Management Services share similar cultures, philosophies and commitment to the provision of high quality aged care and accommodation and as such it will be business as usual at the facility.
“All staff and residents are secure in their employment and homes, with all entitlements directly transferring over.
“We are proud to not only be Australian-owned and operated but also a leader in the aged care industry offering security, quality aged care and choice for older Australians.”
Julie Marsden, Executive Director of Marsden Management Services, said the sale of The Pines Aged Care Resort was mutually beneficial to both parties.
“Regis has a broad and long established presence in Queensland and will offer our residents and staff the opportunity to be part of a growing national provider with a strong local connection,” she said.
The Pines Aged Care Resort will bring the number of aged care facilities owned and operated by the Regis Group in Queensland to 11.
The Group offers over 4,100 beds and employs in excess of 4,500 people across 42 facilities in 37 locations in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.
