Industry wide survey to gauge business plans

ACAA and Deloitte Private have teamed up to obtain a measure of business confidence in the sector.

The nation’s aged care providers are being invited to participate in a survey about business confidence and financing.

Aged Care Association Australia (ACAA) and Deloitte Private are conducting the survey to develop a better understanding of the sector’s plans for the future.

“We are trying to get a better feel for the barriers the industry is experiencing,” said ACAA CEO, Rod Young.

“We want to see if there are blockages and to understand the effects of the global financial crisis.  What are the concerns about the future? And are current issues having an impact on the industry’s confidence?”

“We want to be better informed about where we stand at the moment.”

The short online questionnaire asks about plans for construction, acquisitions and capital expenditure.

The survey is completely anonymous and it will be used as a tool for lobbying.

“We will make the results available to the industry and it will help us as an organisation to inform the government about the status of industry and what reform needs to occur,” Mr Young said. “We want to ensure that we have a sustainable industry into the future.”

The survey closes on Thursday, 12 November. It is open to the whole industry, not just ACAA members.

“The more responses we get the more statistically relevant the results will be.”
