Infinite Care enters Victoria

The provider is developing a facility in Melbourne.

Aged care provider Infinite Care is expanding its footprint into Victoria with the construction of a 177-bed, six-story home in Melbourne.

Bankrolled by health and aged care property investor Australian Unity Healthcare Property Trust, the facility will be run by Infinite Care under a 25-year lease.

Set for completion in 2025 and located in the outer eastern suburb of Knoxfield, the site will feature dining and recreational facilities – including state-of-the-art kitchens and a café.

Tony Partridge

Tony Partridge – joint managing director at Infinite Care – said the local community will greatly benefit from a new aged care home. “With many Knox residents at retirement age and approaching their older years, this home will provide the worldclass care and resident experiences that Infinite Care is known for and improve thousands of lives in future years.”

He added: “We’re proud to embark on this project with the support of Australian Unity.”

Chris Smith

Chris Smith – general manager at Australian Unity Healthcare Property Trustsaid the Infinite Care home enabled investors to contribute to Australia’s long-term aged care infrastructure while benefiting from long-term income.

“With the number of Victorians over 60 set to double to 2.3 million by 2046, we are proud to give investors the unique opportunity to participate in the growth of Australia’s aged care sector while benefiting from income generated by the 25-year lease with Infinite Care.”

Infinite Care operates aged care homes in New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia. The Knoxfield site will be the provider’s first foray into the Victorian market. A sod-turning ceremony was held last week to mark the build (pictured above).
