Invitation to get up, stand up
The organising committee for next year’s ACSA National Conference in Perth has issued a call for papers.
Hot on the heals of this year’s well received ACSA National Conference in Adelaide, the organising committee for next year’s event in Perth has issued a call for papers.
The theme of the 2009 conference is “Get up, Stand up” and papers that challenge current thinking within the industry are being sought.
The conference presents an opportunity to share organisational case studies, individual research, best practice projects and practices to the broader industry.
“It is very much about saying to the industry that it’s alright to stand up and have an opinion and that’s what we should do,” said the CEO of Aged and Community Services Western Australia, Stephen Kobelke.
“From the speakers to the attendees, we are encouraging everyone to tell the Australian people that we are doing a good job and that we play an important role in the community.”
“At the same time, it’s still about the traditional things like networking and the friendships that are made at these events.”
Paper abstracts must comply with the submission guidelines and should be submitted online at the conference website.
