ITAC discount offer extended
The annual technology event for aged care providers has extended its early bird rate.
The early-bird discount rate for next month’s ITAC [IT in aged care] Conference in Sydney has been extended until Friday, 17 April.
While it will cover a broad range of topics, the third annual ITAC event will have a particular focus on overseas models and electronic medication management.
The CEO of Aged Care Association Australia, Rod Young said effective technology solutions are integral in aged care operation’s today.
“We now have over 80 per cent of providers registered with Medicare Australia to do their ACFI claiming through electronic transactions and 67 per cent of them are now doing electronic transactions with Medicare Australia all the time.
“It is a clear demonstration of the very rapid movement that has occurred in aged care over the past few years.”
There are now over 80,000 places in aged care that are being supported by some form of IT clinical support system.
Mr Young said IT systems will play an even bigger role in aged care in coming years.
“The conference agenda really is for anyone involved in aged care management who is thinking about future delivery models and business re-engineering,” he said.
“It’s important for the industry to consider how it can make best use of IT solutions to assist in workforce redesign and workplace efficiency.”
