Joint wireless home care solution

The developer of an Australian smart phone application has joined with a Canadian software company to provide an integrated solution for home care services.

SkyNet Mobile Communications has joined with clinical software developer Procura to provide an integrated, wireless point-of-care solution for home care services.

The two providers have developed a system that is able to automate time and attendance records for home visits by combining Procura’s software and SkyNet’s SatTrack application on GPS capable handsets.

The companies say their joint solution is able to boost productivity by streamlining business processes.

SatTrack is a mobile GPS-based solution for any support application that needs accurate location and job information at the click of a button.

The tracking system has been seamlessly integrated with Procura to provide an end to end clinical management system.

The system also allows home care workers to receive client information from a base office in real time, removing the need to carry bulky paper files

And if mobile staff encounter a threatening situation, SatTrack has a discreet duress alarm that provides GPS location details.

“Procura and its partners in North America currently deliver cell phone and telephony based point-of-care functionality to over 20,000 remote workers,” said the company’s president, Warren Brown.

“Our partnership with SkyNet provides our Australian customers with a leading edge solution that allows them to decrease costs and attract and retain quality employees.”
