Legal discounts for seniors
A prominent national law firm has made an arrangement with National Seniors to offer its members discounted services.
Law firm Slater & Gordon and National Seniors Australia have entered into a partnership that will enable almost 300,000 older Australians to access discounted legal services.
The firm’s managing director, Andrew Grech said the partnership would provide significant opportunities for National Seniors members.
“We are delighted to have formed this partnership agreement with National Seniors Australia,” he said.
“Slater & Gordon has a strong history of working with various membership groups, such as unions and not-for-profit organisations to give average Australians access to high quality legal services.
“Working with senior Australians through this partnership with National Seniors is a natural extension of that philosophy.”
The law firm has created a dedicated 1800 phone number for the new service and has appointed a staff member in each state to oversee services to National Seniors members.
Benefits under the new arrangements range from reduced hourly rates to free initial consultations.
Mr Grech said Slater & Gordon would be able to provide assistance with conveyancing, wealth protection, the drafting of wills and estate litigation.
National Seniors CEO, Michael O’Neill said the arrangement would be useful for members.
“Legal services sometimes have a reputation for being out of the ordinary senior’s reach, so we are pleased to offer our members an affordable yet specialised service,” he said.
