Residents become movie stars for a new Lifeview promotional campaign.

Lifeview residents star in a new series of video tours of the Victorian provider’s aged care homes.

The four three-minute videos provide a guided walkthrough of Lifeview’s southeast Melbourne sites – Argyle Court, Emerald Glades, Willow Wood, and The Willows.

In one, we see Joan – an Argyle Court resident – welcoming viewers into the facility, participating in a flower-arranging session, and inspecting the vegetable garden. “I love it here,” she tells viewers.

“For this project we wanted to provide a window into Lifeview and what it is that makes Lifeview communities unique – who better to talk about that than the residents themselves?” said Lifeview executive manager – marketing and communications Cory Winnell.

As well as residents, team members also appear in the videos explaining to viewers their roles and describing day-to-day life at the facility.

The series of videos have been produced by Walkley Award-winning photojournalist Chris Hopkins who has a long association with the provider.

“I have always found any engagement with Lifeview as enjoyable and calm environments to work in, so to be asked to provide my storytelling ability in a day-in-a-life-type situation, well, I just jumped at the opportunity,” Mr Hopkins said.

In the videos, viewers learn about Lifeview’s social and lifestyle programs, its holistic approach to care and wellness, are introduced to many of the residents’ beloved pets and, of course, the residents themselves.

“We are always very thankful the residents are so willing and happy to be involved,” said Mr Winnell. “They really get a kick out of it.”
