Masonic signs $20m catering contract
The five-year deal will cover the organisation’s four main complexes in Darwin and Adelaide.
Masonic Homes has awarded a $20 million contract to a catering and hospitality company to service its four main complexes in Adelaide and Darwin over the next five years.
The major contract was won by Medirest following a competitive tender process.
The catering and hospitality company already has a large footprint in the retirement living and aged care market, providing services to more than 100 health and aged care facilities across the country.
It has been providing services to Masonic Homes for three years now.
“The renewal of such an important contract was the subject of an extensive and rigorous selection process, which once again confirmed Medirest’s unique understanding of the key success factors facing care and lifestyle for seniors providers,” said Masonic Homes’ CEO, Doug Strain.
“Over the past three years, Medirest has demonstrated a strong capability to develop and deliver innovative solutions to meet the challenges of our industry, and we are very pleased to have negotiated a new contract for up to five years with them.”
Medirest’s General Manager, Paul Thoroughgood, said he was confident the new contract would enable both partners to focus on their core strengths.
“We pride ourselves in achieving the highest standards of compliance and accreditation, exercising a detailed knowledge of the nutritional and dietetic needs of those we care for, and we always aim to excel in the key areas of customer satisfaction, quality and nutrition,” said Mr Thoroughgood.
